NYYM Memorial Minutes

What is a memorial minute?

Definition. Local meetings often write a memorial for deceased Friends that celebrates the Friends life and activities and contributions among Friends. Upon approval by the meeting, these memorials may be entered into the meeting's minutes. If the deceased member was active or well known in the yearly meeting or in the wider circle of Friends, the local meeting may forward the memorial to yearly meeting where they may be read during a yearly meeting session.
