Looking back on all that happened in New York Yearly Meeting in 2017, the three broad themes that emerge are how we communicate, nurture each other’s gifts and understand community and justice.
Why would an attender apply for membership in a Quaker meeting? In a lot of meetings I know, the only thing it gets you, really, is the privilege of serving on some new committees, a more solid sense of Quaker identity, and maybe some more deeply internalized sense of responsibility.
