Orchard Park Meeting Supports Kenyan Orphanage
Orchard Park Meeting is a partner with other churches, schools, organizations, and individuals in sponsoring Crossroads Springs orphanage in Hamisi, Kenya. Dr. Meshack Isiaho is the founder of Crossroads Springs. Meshack is a Kenyan Friend, member of Gavundunyi Monthly Meeting in Hamisi, Kenya.
Meschack wrote in December 2003 to Friends at Orchard Park Meeting, that the AIDS crisis was placing many children at risk and something needed to be done to provide a safe place for the children and to give them an education. Since that time money has been raised and the first building has been completed. There are 165 children receiving an education, and 100 children will be living there when the third term opens in September 2007. See the Web site at www.crossroadssprings.org for more updated information. Orchard Park Monthly Meeting is a 501(c)(3) tax deductible organization, and 100% of contributions to Crossroads Springs go directly to Crossroads Springs.
