Everyone Invited to Participate
Fall Sessions for 2008 will be held November 7–9, 2008, at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, N.Y. (Saturday and Sunday) and at Powell House in Old Chatham, N.Y. (Friday evening and Saturday evening).
Northeastern Regional Meeting welcomes you to 2008 Fall Sessions, which carry on the business of the Yearly Meeting between our annual sessions at Silver Bay. The attendance and involvement of Friends from all monthly meetings ensures that the wisdom of a variety of Friends will be brought to our business sessions, and that the decisions made there will be reported back to the meetings.
Our weekend will begin Friday at 7:30 P.M. at Powell House in Old Chatham, N.Y. Ann Davidson will facilitate an evening of community building.
On Saturday and Sunday, we will gather at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, N.Y. Directions are here.
Meals: Coffee, tea, and bagels will be available Saturday morning in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center. Coffee and tea will be available Sunday morning. Meals on Saturday and Sunday will also be at the Telecommunications Center. We cannot guarantee meals unless we get your registration before October 30. See prices on the registration form.
Hospitality: On the registration form you may request hospitality with local Friends for Friday and/or Saturday night. Be sure to indicate your special needs for food. Hospitality cannot be guaranteed after the registration deadline of October 30.
Friends who prefer to stay in a motel will find a list of area motels following this article.
Friends may also stay at Powell House. PoHo is offering Friends special discount rates: $50 1st person; $30 2nd person in same room; $10 for each additional person in same room. Friends can register with Buffy Curtis for lodging by using info [at] powellhouse.org or on line at www.powellhouse.org or by calling her at 518-794-8811. Friday’s supper is $15/person. Breakfasts will be $5/person. Let Buffy know which meals you would like when registering.
Childcare will be available. Parents are responsible for their children during mealtimes. Please indicate your childcare needs on the registration form.
Registration: The registration fee is $15 per adult until October 30, 2008; after October 30, add $5 per adult. You may register in two ways: Fill out the registration form (opens in new window), save it with a new name, and e-mail it to Claire Cafaro, cafaro [at] verizon.net, or fill out the form from the Web site, print it, and mail it to Claire Cafaro, 4 Bluebird Ct., Saratoga Springs NY 12866. In either case, mail your check for registration and meals, made out to NYYM, to Claire before the October 30 registration deadline. You may also pay by using they PayPal Buy Now button below. If you use PayPal please add a $3.00 service charge.

Automobile Directions
From the North: The Hudson Valley campus is minutes from exit 7 of the Northway (I-87). Follow Rt. 7 East approximately 1.5 miles to I-787 South. Take I-787 South to Rt. 378 East. Over bridge bear right to Rt. 4 South and continue for 1 mile to the campus on your left
From the South: Take Exit 23 off I-87 (NYS Thruway), exit at Albany, continue north on I-87 (Adirondack Northway) 6 miles to the exit for Rt. 378 East and follow as above.
From the East: Take Exit B-1 off the NYS Thruway and follow I-90 approximately 9 miles to Exit 8. Turn left off ramp to Rt. 4. Campus is 5 miles ahead on the right.
From the West: Take Exit 24 off I-90 (NYS Thruway), continue on I-90 East 6 miles to I-787 North (Troy). Follow I-787 as above.

Airplane
Albany International Airport (www.albanyairport.com) is the closest airport to Hudson Valley Community College. It is approximately eight miles from the college.
Bus
Greyhound Bus (www.greyhound.com) and Adirondack Trailways (www.trailwaysny.com) serves most of the state with express and local buses.
The closest terminal (Albany Bus Terminal, 34 Hamilton Street, Albany, NY) is six miles from the college.
The Capital District Transportation Authority (www.cdta.org) has many different bus routes and schedules for traveling to the college and around the Capital Region.
Train
If coming by train, make your train reservations at least 3 weeks ahead to get the arrival and departure times you need! The train stop serving Hudson Valley Community College is the Albany-Rensselaer Station (www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Amtrak/am2Station/Station_Page&code=ALB). The station is approximately seven miles from the college. Taxis are at the entrance of the train station.
