#Quaker Outside the Lines

What does it mean to Quaker Outside the Lines?

It means to take your Quaker faith out into your community in meaningful ways.

If you have a project in mind that would engage your neighborhood community, we have an opportunity for you! From now until October, Friends in New York Yearly Meeting can can receive up to $200 reimbursement for a project that:

  • involves Quakers and non-Quakers doing something together;
  • is a manifestation of Quaker faith;
  • is meaningful to people living in your town or city;
  • appens somewhere other than your meetinghouse (libraries/ schools/parks/etc.);
  • and is documented at least once on social media, using #Quakeroutsidethelines.
This is open to all of us in NYYM— individuals, whole meetings, small groups, First Day Schools, everybody! Apply (or get more information) here: www.tinyurl.com/quakeroutsidethelines/
